We have been taking numerous phone calls from people that want to help financially.  We have opened an account at First Piedmont Federal for the family members that have been affected by last Saturday's tragedy. If you would like to give please visit any First Piedmont Federal branch in Gaffney or Spartanburg and tell them that you would like to donate to the Corinth Baptist Church disaster fund.  In the next couple of days, we are going to make it possible to give online, if you are not from around the upstate of South Carolina.  That should be working by Thursday of this week.  Please check back later in the week if you would like to make a donation via your credit card.

Just a little more information about this fund:

The official name of the fund is the CORINTH BAPTIST CHURCH CLEVELAND PARK ACCIDENT FUND.  The funds donated will be distributed according to guidelines to be established by our Church Trustees, for the purpose of assisting victims with medical expenses associated with the accident that are not otherwise covered by available insurances.  After this purpose is fullfilled, excess funds, if any, will be used for children's ministry in memory of Benji.

Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in giving to assist the victims.  There were 15 victims from our church with various injuries from scrapes and briuses to broken bones, lacerations, and body trauma.  And of course we grieve the loss of Benji who did not survive his injuries.  We trust the Lord to provide for the needs of everyone involved (Matthew 6:33).
